Start small, grow step by step: compact systems with low entry costs let you offer personalised textiles without large investments or warehouse stock.
Typical applications
Small runs are where digital textile printing shows its strengths – every piece can be different, and there are no set-up costs per design:
- Personalised gifts, team shirts and club wear
- Merchandise for creators, bands and local brands
- Print services in shops, studios, schools and at events
- Online shops that print only what has been ordered
Which system for which start?
The RICOH Ri 100 is the simplest way into DTG: it fits into a space of about 40 × 70 cm and comes with easy design software – even photos from a smartphone can be used. It works without white ink, which makes it ideal for white and light cotton textiles. If you also want to print on dark garments or on polyester, the RICOH Ri 1000X with CMYK + white is the next step. For DTF, the compact XTF D430 produces transfers that can be pressed onto cotton, polyester and blends.
Suitable systems
- RICOH Ri 100 – compact DTG for white and light cotton textiles, with a low initial cost.
- RICOH Ri 1000X – CMYK + white for light and dark fabrics, cotton and polyester, optionally DTF.
- RICOH XTF D430 – compact DTF for transfers on many different materials.
Good to know
- Plan the whole workflow from file to finished garment – for DTF this includes pressing the transfers onto the textile.
- Start with the textiles you actually want to sell and test them first: results differ from fabric to fabric.
- Ask us about flexible payment options such as leasing or rental – the offers depend on your country and dealer.
